Located in the West End of Richmond, Virginia, Comprehensive Hand Surgery Center is one of central Virginia's only facilitiy exclusively dedicated to the care of the hand, wrist and forearm. The Comprehensive Hand Surgery Center’s mission is to provide the highest quality care to patients with functional and medical problems involving the upper extremity.

Dr. David Galpern, Medical Director, is a board-certified Hand Surgeon specializing in upper extremity care. This includes treatment of finger, hand, wrist, forearm and elbow injuries. He completed his two hand surgery fellowships at the acclaimed Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery and the Hand Surgery and Upper Limb Surgery Fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

We are driven to improve function, alignment and dexterity while decreasing pain and inflammation.
